Steven I. Gutstein Managing Director, FIA USA An experienced investigator and litigator, Steven I. Gutstein is the managing director of FIA's New York office. Steve has distinguished himself at FIA by efficiently, effectively and successfully managing numerous investigations for clients that include Fortune 500 corporations and leading law firms. Prior to going into private practice, Steve had a successful career in the New York County District Attorney's Office, where, as deputy bureau chief, he helped establish the heralded Career Criminal Program. Working from the premise that a small group of repeat offenders were responsible for a disproportionately large percentage of crimes, the Career Criminal Program focused its resources on getting these recidivists off the streets. Steve also served as a bureau chief in the trial division where he supervised approximately forty assistant district attorneys and oversaw the prosecution of hundreds of cases and investigations. In addition, Steve authored numerous appellate briefs and was designated a senior trial attorney.
