Robert H. Silbering

President, FIA USA

Robert H. Silbering, FIA's President, established his reputation
during more than 20 years as one of New York's most respected
law enforcement officials. As New York's special prosecutor, he supervised hundreds of lawyers, case managers and investigators and worked closely with local, Federal and international law enforcement agencies and officials to investigate and prosecute complex multinational narcotics and money-laundering organizations. He pioneered the use of asset tracking in the prosecution of these cases and as a result, his experience in finding innovative solutions to intractable problems - and his global Rolodex of law enforcement contacts - is unrivaled. The regard in which Bob is held by the law enforcement community is attested to by frequent requests for him to act as a monitor of a delinquent entity on behalf of a government agency or court.

Prior to his appointment as a special prosecutor, Bob was a Trial Bureau Chief in the New York County District Attorney's Office - the most respected prosecutor's office in the country. There he managed an extensive team of lawyers, case managers, and investigators and supervised thousands of cases and grand jury investigations.

Bob is a former adjunct professor at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He lectures at legal forums and law-enforcement societies around the world, and is a frequent commentator in the national media.
